so i tried registering lucas.reddinger.name 2-3 years ago through
godaddy.com (joker.com was not offering the TLD). they had technical difficulties with me and could not complete the registration. now i am looking to attempt another registration of the domain; i'd like a professional site for hosting my CV, research, etc. however, it seems that godaddy still hasn't figured out how the .name concept works. you are supposed to register a third level domain (blank.blank.name), though second level registration (blank.name) is allowed. it seems that godaddy only supports second level. it's very frustrating. they have had over two years to work this feature out...
note:
http://www.nic.name/registrarlist.html
this page reflects godaddy's ability to register a 2LD and their failure (read: incompetence) at the ability to register a 3LD.
