i've been sanding my p4 case all day today to prep it for a new paint job over the next week or so.
the scent of paint dust + dish soap in water is absolutely revolting.

what's the benefit of wet sanding over dry? do you know what material the case is? I was thinking about repainting my bike frame sometime.
well, the case itself is made out of metal (its just a standard ATX case... five years old or so with the hella ugly beige paintjob) and i'm not sure what the paint is... lacquer or enamel.
i was thinking about doing a little DIY and cutting a window hole so i could go to LAN parties and be the coolest kid on the block but i couldn't find anyone with a rotary tool near me.
so it's going to be metallic black with clearcoat so i don't need a new mirror.
back on topic: wet sanding takes paint off faster and helps cut down on the paint dust getting all over and, well, in your lungs. it makes it easier by allowing the sandpaper to glide without getting paint particles trapped in it. if you're going to do it, i suggest adding a few drops of soap to your water. note: don't try it with an electric sander XD.

yeah, dry sanding plugs up the sanding paper with paint really fast
