I was wondering what you guys recommend and if you know of any good deals. Im going to buy one for home entertainment purposes, mostly just movies. So sling some projector knowledge my way.

I have an old LCD from a defunct laptop I was/am going to use as a source. Then rear illuminate with some kick arse white LEDs. No heat, no fans, low power, long life. The biggest problem is the lens, but just visit some schools. They throw out projectors all the time and snag one. Lockwood regularly sells them in the summer at their garage sale.

I've been checking out ebay lately and I think I might try to get one for cheap off of there. Once I get home ill post up the few links of ones ive been looking at.

Nice projector, a little out of my price range and after seeing how much LCD tvs are coming down in price, I've just been thinking about waiting until next christmas to get one.
Why spend $2000 on an LCD TV when you can get a decent projector that can cover a 200" diagonal?

Yeah I dunno, basically its come down to money, before I get either (LCD or a projector) im trying to save money.
