this is sort of a focused post but:
what are the other networking students doing in class?
anything cool or off the books?

for example:
right now, i'm setting up a wireless hotspot with cisco equipment and wpa tied into freeradius and redesigning the network to allocate ips for it, working with voip and qos, and building podcasts for first year students (covering topics they find confusing, introducing the np program...), writing a curriculum for an intersession class on migrating nt servers to 2k3, working with a teacher on writing a class around exchange as an elective, in general working on the current helpdesk program (adding and removing classes according to employer requests and time constraints).

i'm having a killer time doing it but i'm also stressing and wanted to see if other programs did stuff like this.

So are you studying to be an IT guy or an IT teacher?

The only thing I can think about lately is combing two classes (Network Security and a Publications Design). The final for the publications class is desiging a magazine. The teacher recommened using Lorem text for filler, but I'm actually going to make a security magazine. What do you guys think?
