i want an upgrade. i'm thinking either 2.1 or a receiver and a pair of bookshelf speakers. i'm leaning towards the 2.1 route for a simpler, cheaper setup.
i'm thinking klipsch promedia 2.1 (thx, 55w/chan, 200w peak)

thoughts on this? would you prefer logitech/altec/harmon/creative/other or a real system? and why?
it seems that klipsch is flat out the best in this arena. and i want a 2.1 (i don't like 4 or 5 speakers sitting on my desk, plus i don't need over 50rms.)
i seem to remember selling a considerable number of those logitechs when i was completing my punishment at circuit city and when i was re-wireing the speaker section those sounded pretty smooth. also the external volume control was a plus.
in all honesty i don't know much about speakers and even less about brands, so i don't know how much anyone should trust my judgement on this.
yeah, i just bought the logitech speakers for $100 shipped 3day air.
i could buy two sets of the logitech speakers for the price of one set of klipsch.
