anyone else watched this? I just finished Star Trek: Enterprise so I'm rewatching this now. it is such a huge bummer that there is only one season; it's no doubt one of my favorite shows ever.

I agree with Andrew's first post...my housemates love it so I've seen several episodes
One note: I hate how they "dumb down" the script so it sounds all western drawl-y: "We're simple folk here, we don't need no trouble"
*sick face*

You know... what's great about series like firefly is that it started strong... played strong... and has a great ending. All in all a great series.. with a solid close. And you can't take anything away from that.
So in one sense yeah it's sad there isn't more of it... but what is there... is really great. And I am really glad they made the movie.
it has been a while since I went through the series but i remember liking it in general especially the episode with jean as the hero. one thing that bothered me about the series and seemed even worse in the movie was that the characters had some difficulty with consistency. i am pretty sure though that this is mostly because of the series was so short, so every episode the actors where developing their characters.
e, i know you hate the western drawl-y-ness, something at first i found annoying but i think the show was trying to mimic a type of subgenre which could be called 'space cowboy'.

i am sure this is one of the important reasons the series has such a cult following.

Yep... bebop would make a great live action for american cinema to remake.... it's got WIDE appeal with the characters... and the storyline is freaking epic noir tragedy.
