So I won't lie... my opinion of the last world cup goes as follows:
Italy should have been prohibited from playing in the world cup for the next 24 years.
Their rampant and blatant cheating was out of hand. They ruined 3 major matches in the lead up to the finals, and would have lost multiple times if not for severe corruption in the referees.
FIFA has basically ruined the sport.
Last night what happened with Ireland and France was just a perfect showcase of how completely freaking boned FIFA is.
And they REFUSE steadfastly to address any of the problems choosing instead to become still more corrupt with their nonsensical seeding system ( unless of course your goal is profit ).
In short, FIFA has ruined one world cup, and is well on their way into ruining another... when the hell are they going to realize that fans in this community can and will kill them. I mean wars have been fought over matches. IN FACT the futbol war between honduras and ecuador was faught over pre qualifiers. Alegeria and Egypt are at each others teeth over this past year. And an Irish UK game once had to be called half way through for fear of national rioting. These bastards are going to get people killed with their irresponsible shenanigans...
