haha. I think it's interesting to see who I listened to most in a week. it's also neat to look at your musical neighbors.
and quite possibly the neatest thing is the neighbor radio. it plays songs by artists it thinks you would like based on what you've previously listened to. I've found out about a few artists I never listened to before through it.

ah man, if you subscribe be careful, it said i got rejected twice on my first visa so i tried my other one and that one got accepted. well then i look at the subscription page and it says that my second attempt on the first card WAS accepted and charged and then my second card was put down as a donation. im gonna write them an email and ask for that second one to be voided.

yeah, it allows you to put up your own radio station and a few other extras that i wanted to try out. So far I'm liking it. Took me forever to figure out how to subscribe but at the very bottom of the page in very small print there is a link called subscribe, or i can just link you

I figured I listen to a lot of music on my iPod, and I remembered that iPod syncing theoretically worked. I think that when I stopped using it before I did not have an iPod.

i want to listen to last.fm streams at work because i don't have enough time at night to download new music. however i think there is either a software firewall (sygate) or something on the hardware side that is blocking me using the last.fm app.
when i try to log in with it it says i need a proxy server. we have one at work but that one doesn't work.

i can give you a ssh account on www.wingedleopard.net so you can do a socks 5 proxy--as long as you use under 10gb bandwidth per month.

do something like this with putty (whatever port number you want) and then point the last.fm app proxy to 127.0.0.1:10000. assuming it can do socks.

you're fucked? actually I'm not sure; I don't know of any other way to create a tunnel like that. can you run sshd on a different port that maybe isn't blocked? kind of depends on how putty is blocked.
