Probably not if it doesn't say it. Is there some kind of law that makes the manufacturers specify that it needs to be refrigerated?

Dunno about eggs.

I refrigerate eggs. just 'cause my mom always did.

she's never refrigerated ketchup though, and that seems to be common. I refrigerate it because imagining warm ketchup kind of grosses me out.

how about butter?

in my estimation butter is alright living in room temp as long as it's not stuffy in your house enough to melt the butter after a couple hours.

regarding eggs, i prefer to...i don't think it keeps for very many days otherwise. maybe they would be ok.. half a dozen not refrigerated a week might work, minus one/two per day? :D

jelly might be more prone to bacteria and mold in a nonrefrgerated environment. but jelly in a jar would probably last reasonable amounts of time without refrigeration.

i always refrigerate eggs and butter. you dont have to refrigerate eggs but their time to live shortens drastically.

as for jelly, ive always been told that once opened you should refrigerate it. if still sealed it will be fine without refrigeration.

Butter is a saturated fat. It maintains solidity at room temperature. You do not have to refrigerate. However, it does get kind of messy. Eggs do go bad really quickly, but I eat plenty of those, or use them in cooking. As long as they are in a dark temperate environment, you should be fine. Same with Olive Oil.

when making toast i like cold butter, that way it doesnt totally melt before i can get the jam on it.

butter and jam on toast at the same time seems weird to me. sounds like maybe it would be good, though. I think I'm gonna go make some toast and coffee right now!

I like to have some butter in the fridge and keep a half a stick out on the counter (covered, of course) for spreading on things like bread. mmm, now I want some banana bread with butter on it.

for some reason the coffee I made was really bad tonight. maybe I'll make some more later and hope it's better.

I drank two bottles of it tonight with my pizza. it was really good! the guy at the store we bought it from gave us some Brazilian cheese bread or something too that was really good. I'm craving more soda right now.

my favourite kind of pop is chinotto. it's italian, the brand in canada is called 'brio'. flavoured with lots of herbs and quinine, so its a little bitter. but awesome.
