i use svn repositories like mad (i run 7 over http and 1 over ssh)
and i use foxmarks and gmail and gcal
quite literally EVERYTHING either goes into an svn repository or gmail or gcal.

i would get rid of my desktop but i like the storage + processing + 3d power.

update: it works very well. clean interface, systray but not too intrusive. 12mb memory used.

SVN is better
I suggest you start looking at an external file server, simply for the fact that I do NOT trust working machines.
