i had this dream last night that people were trying to destroy their vocabularies.

i wonder if anyone has done this :O

I saw the first advertisement banner the a month ago in chicago that had IM lingo in it. I would consider that destroying vocabulary… but it's an easy way into targeting that age group.

the law is no protection
I'm not convinced that shit will ever get into academic writing.

it's not that hard to go between talking online on a forum (not using caps if I feel lazy, using abbreviations like lol or whatever, etc.) and typing a paper. dunno why people have trouble with it.
