i just read in the news that wimax just became ceritified. this means there are now vendors producing kits compliant with the IEEE 802.16e [802.16-2004] standard. i just learned of a competing technology today named HSDPA and i figured i should share and get your thoughts on the technology.

Four years later. Clearwire is alive and with Sprint, while 4G is still to be widely deployed by other carriers.

I know a few telecoms were testing out WiMax to deliver phone, tv, and internet to customers. from what i heard though, the final product just doesn't live up to what it was billed to be.

I know that telecommunications providers will do everything in their power to avoid providing service to their customers.
