why does McAfee suck so bad? my aunt has it on her computer and it is miserably slow. it loads literally like ten processes in the background, most of which aren't even enabled.

I was trying to figure out why her computer was being so slow so I pulled up task manager and mcshield.exe was consistently using at least 50-100 % CPU.

it also found some trojan that it wasn't even able to remove. I removed it with Spybot: S&D (best program ever).

I'm doing a final scan with Spybot to confirm that it's gone. if it is, I'm going to uninstall McAfee Security Center and just leave Spybot TeaTimer running, which monitors registry changes and blacklists a ton of known bad processes.

in conclusion, yay for Spybot

I can't believe people pay for this shit.
