:O
but still a 13.3
design reminds me of the old clamshells
nice!

meh... i have no desire for a laptop since i've owned a touch. I mean I don't need a mobile desktop... and for having a pc easily accessible for emergency use... the touch does just fine.

I'm glad it's 13.3", but kind of bummed at how expensive it is. I wish they focused their energy on improving the existing MacBook lineup instead of creating an entirely new model. they should have just made the MacBooks slightly thinner and lighter!
1,800 USD for a computer with no optical drive = no thanks
Optical might be useful for:
dvd movies + netflix = rockin'
burning cds for rockin' the car
But really I don't much think the first is productive, and I can burn a ton of cds at once and drive with those for quite a while.
Hey nny, how have you loaded up your itouch? They're nice to play with, and slim!

optical is crucial for watching DVDs.

iTouch is very nice. similarly too expensive and not functional enough (drives to small, granted they're SSDs) for me. a friend of mine has one and it's very neat to browse the web on though. the keyboard could use improving, but overall it seems nice.
that's cool nny, i'm going to keep my x60 for as long as it turns on, i might investigate your itouch as 'emergency computer'.
then again i'm going to be crackberry'd soon enough...

also, having a laptop is more just convenient to bring to different rooms of my house, not necessarily transport everywhere with me. but in the case that I do need to use it at school or something it's really nice to be able to. speaking of which I think I'll do that tomorrow.

that X300 looks nice. really fucking nice.
:O sweet
i like the 64gb ssd
too bad about the drive. i wonder how long the battery will last
the optical drive? yeah.
The X300 does look nice, I just wish I had 3000 to blow on a laptop... the sad thing is I really like the 12inch format. Why did everyone under the sun decide on 12.1?
x60's are going down in price these days karpet (probably due to C$), you can get them for half that
oh wait we're talking about the air
nvm
i have an x60 its beautiful
i just want the x300 in the x60 screen size
what do you like about the x300?
the cnet guy that reviews the x300 and macbook air makes me want to rip my eyes out

cnet is completely worthless in every respect except that it hosts Trillian downloads (or it did like two years ago) and other random freeware.
i just like it cuz i can watch laptop videos

I like the X300 for the integrated dvd drive. makes alot of sense to me.
dp> I can burn a ton of cds at once and drive with those for quite a while.
most aftermarket decks have usb connections and ipod connections. i'd use a 2GB flash drive (yes! solid state!).
optical media needs to leave this world. moving parts are stupid.

You get what you deserve. The world should have never left behind the vacuum tube. Transistors are the technology of evil!
