Haha. It's pretty sweet, to be honest I was messing with the system a tiny bit.

I was running mac os x. Then i logged into my sun ultra 10 w/ ssh, enabled X11Forwarding, and proceeded to launch the kde panel (kicker? wtf is with KDE names?), gnome-panel, and xfce4-panel, and of course mac os x dock was already running. They all launched except for gnome-panel which popped up a warning: "is a panel already running?"

It was pretty awesome. I think I lost the screenshot tho :(

I'll give it a shot again.

The key is to launch gnome-panel first, then xfce4-panel then kicker. :P

I am running leopard on my macbook pro. And FreeBSD 7.0 on my sun ultra 10 sparc64 system. It's pretty much the fastest computer in the world clocking in at 440mhz and 1gig of ram :)

The university here was getting rid of probably 50-60 old sun ultra 10's for Apple to come pick up and recycle. I was able to scrounge around and max out 2 sun ultra 10's w/ all the best stuff I could find. Unfortunately no dual cpu systems *tear*

Believe it or not, it runs X and KDE pretty solid. Gnome is a bit choppy, which is unfortunate as I prefer it to KDE.
