so this one day a few summers ago i get off at the 242nd street 1 train stop in the bronx.
i walked down the stairs (elevated platform) and low and behold headed down the block in an otherwise surly area... are 4 gorgeous 6' tall blonde chicks... sporting the biggest fucking compound bows i've ever seen.
it was a weird moment. almost surreal.
turns out it was a major worldwide archery competition being held in the lead up to the olympics as one of the qualifiers. it was at van cortlandt park nearby.
so that was the swedish female team.
great sport that archery...
