I love touching pieces of mail :(
Plus, it's not like this reduces the amount of physical mail being sent out, it just means I personally don't have to deal with getting rid of it...right?
I'd rather shred/whatever any sensitive documents than A. tell someone else to do it for me or B. have them end up forwarding me the original anyway

this is kind of neat, but there is no way I am entrusting my mail to some third party. I realize it's largely similar to having email stored on a third party's server, but a lot more secure stuff is sent via snail mail, I think.
i think it would be valuable if living abroad for an extended amount of time.
i'm going to transition to earth class mail this fall. i've had my beloved p.o. box 5192 for four years!
i'll get either the seattle (less likely) or beaverton (more likely) street address:
93 S Jackson St
Seattle, WA 98104-2818
14525 SW Millikan Way
Beaverton, OR 97005-2343

I still don't like the idea of mail being handled by a third-party. especially for a service/industry like this that doesn't seem very popular yet. what happens when Earth Class Mail goes out of business?
what happens with what?

I would hope they would send what they have and then forward everything else that comes afterwords, somehow.

all of your digitized mail. do they have it stored somewhere?
yes, they store the mail until you decide to forward it, shred it, or recycle it.

As you said, you love your PO Box. What is your main motivation to switch? Traveling?
yes. i'm leaving bozeman, and i have absolutely no idea where i'll be in a year.
