I'm tired of this thing laying around so I thought I'd try to sell it for cheap.

I put OpenBSD on it a couple of times but it always had this issue with working fine for like twenty minutes and then totally freezing up; it wouldn't pass any network traffic, but it would still be powered on and stuff. kind of weird. I'm too lazy to put another OS on it to see if it's actually a hardware issue or what.

the case is a little messed up too :). I cut out part of the back of it so the antennae on my PCI wireless card could stick through. I'll take pics soon if anyone is interested at all.

they go for 173 USD on the Soekris site right now. I'd like to get $100 for this (free shipping), but I'm willing to entertain lower offers. I'm selling it AS IS, so if it is indeed a hardware issue, I'm not going to refund your money. if you think this makes me deserve less money for it, make a ridiculously low offer, because I kind of want to get rid of this!

the power supply/power adapter comes with it too. I think you have to order this separately from Soekris if you buy from them.

Did you try to get Soekris to service it?

I can't afford it at the moment, especially if determining whether it's a hardware issue isn't possible. My trip is coming up soon too so... I pass. :(

I emailed them and they said to give another OS a try, and if I had problems they'd replace it. I just can't get myself to spend like half a day getting it all set up and working just to see if it freezes again.

I just checked the site and the warranty is only for a year. I bought it a year and four months ago.

This should work with OpenBSD, there is even a soekris reseller specialized in OpenBSD (http://www.kd85.com/).

Difficult to tell of course, but I think the possibility of a hardware issue is very real ... :(
