I changed the username of my private twitter, deleted it, and recreated my original username as a public account. http://www.twitter.com/brianpcurran
there's a method to my madness now, but the madness is still there.
i like to use tweetdeck because it's an extremely useful utilization and view of twitter.
i use mrtweet.net to locate and determine individuals to follow based on mrtweet's metrics and mine. you get about 80 suggestions per day.
if i find that someone is following me in my "new followers" column in tweetdeck, or by email i will go over to twtrfrnd.com and punch them in to see who mutual friends are and whether they are legitimate, assess their account numbers, then check their stream for content.

Twitter died while trying to post one of my comments just now. I logged out of my account completely to attempt to force-refresh it. When I did, I noticed the address bar read: "http://twitter.com/sessions/destroy"
