Two weeks, probably between hostels and hotels. I don't mind sleeping outdoors if it's not too sketchy. I want to be really light and just have a backpack and my camera and computer. andyp will be sharing the computer to offload files onto his external. I think we should also not duplicate lenses (or mainly similar lens types) if possible. I'm not going to pack a stove, as I don't know if the type of fuel will be available there, and I don't think I can pack it on the plane. I probably want to eat at restaurants most of the time anyway, or the market for fresh foods.

Will it all fit? In the end for the two week trip for now I'm planning on having two pair of shirts, pants, and underwear. I'm just going to wear my sandals the whole time with no socks. I'm prepared with the thermarest plus my sleeping bag for sleeping anywhere in normal summer weather except rain probably.

I'll bring a toothbrush and paste. As for club gear, I think I can pass with my regular clothes. I don't really want to go to really upscale ones with dress codes anyway. I don't think I need gel either as I look like a mountain man.

I might have considered ditching the laptop, but if we're going to as many places as we are planning, I think that during the train rides between places we could really utilize the the laptop for offloading photos in the mean time. The weight is also not too much of an issue.
Alternatives might be:
1. load up on sd cards, bring an sd card reader and hit the cafe's
2. spend quite a bit on an sd-card to harddrive device
The first one there would be fairly cheap and light, but not guaranteed. I don't know how much cafe internet rates are or whether the computers would detect the sd card reader. The second would be much more expensive but you could have the benefits of it always being local, downside might be access to power.
I think the laptop option is the best. This way it's reasonably light, but you can offload photos on the run. The only potential problem I can foresee is that my fan may go out. At that time we would have to switch to the sd card idea.

Nearly every plane and train was delayed!
SFO to FRA:
SFO was scheduled to depart at 7:20pm, we left at 8:45pm arrived at london at around 3pm, we had a layover to Frankfurt at 7:05pm which was delayed until 7:50pm. We arrived at Frankfurt at about the delay's difference 9:50pm. There was difficulty because of the trains. I'll talk about those difficulties later, I have to head back to the apartment. It's 12:42am here.
Sorry bluet, I don't think we'll be able to go during this trip. I don't even know how we're going to make it back to Frankfurt after our travels :D
