Opinions on John Roberts?
I have been listening to the committee hearings at work, and while the liberals are concerned about his empathy for the Common Man, I have been impressed by his objectivity. He also seems to be, as everyone says, brilliant when it comes to his knowledge of case law. It seems like most criticism is something to the effect of, "Well, Bush nominated him, so he must be against Roe..."
I don't care for his beliefs, though (abortion and other religious convictions.)

... and let the Earth be silent after ye.
I'm angry that his name is my first and middle names (sans 's')! Grr.
I haven't been keeping up with anything about him because I know it'll just end up terrible anyway. But so far I can tell he's just going "I'M NOT AN IDEALOGUE!"
Time will tell.
and bro is in.
I like him way more than I like Miers. Maybe I'm being sexist, like Laura said. Or maybe she is frustratingly ambiguous about her stances on fundamental judicial principles.
or maybe she just doesn't have any experience, and there's so many people who we know would be better...
