this was inspired in part by the "living like you're in a movie" thread and also an identical thread I made on another message board.

Fox Mulder (X-Files)
I think he has a hilarious sense of humor and I have a huge crush on Scully. plus David Duchovny is really attractive.
Benjamin Sisko (Star Trek: DS9)
by far my favorite Starfleet captain. (Sulu is up there, but we only get to see him as captain for a short scene in Star Trek VI.) I love his sense of humor too, and his commitment to upholding his own moral code and his commitment to his family. I also admire his ability in a military command position.
Patrick Kenzie (Dennis Lehane book series)
this guy is a private investigator in a series of books and I really like him. the best illustrative example I can think of is when he murders some guy in one of the books after he sees the guy do something really sick like rape a child or something. someone says to him, "I thought you were against the death penalty." and he replies with something of the sentiment, "I don't trust the state to commit murder, but what I did was in an emotional heat and I will probably reflect on it and realize that it was wrong." or something like that. I just really connected with that.

oh come on, that's a cop-out :). I like being myself too, but dreaming about being cool fictional characters is fun sometimes.
