There exist three people in this world: person A, B, and Z (an outsider). All three people have different types of connections. A and B have a passionate connection, yet there is a limit to their ability to communicate. Both A and B individually can communicate well with Z. Why is it that A can communicate well with Z; and B with Z; but A and B fail to communicate well with each other?
Possible explanations:
1. A and Z speak a common language, B and Z speak a different common language. It is Z’s unique bundle of abilities that allow him or her to communicate well with both A and B.
2. Z perceives that he or she has a better connection with either A or B than actually exists. Either A or B poses a connection handicap that will be revealed in time.
3. A or B or both, refuse to have deeper communication with his or her counterpart. But both choose to have open communication with Z.

2.
:) the least optimistic of the options...
i don't really understand 2. :(
I just mean to say is that 2 is that good communication between Z and A (I am just picking one) is an illusion held from one person's perspective or both and that over time it will be revealed that A really can't communicate any better with Z than A can with B. Thus A has a communication handicap in this three person universe.
I favor 1. naturally
maybe all three fucking suck at communicating, but "z" is delusional.
probably :)
