I had my jacket on for a bit. Said "Evil".
I went to a bunch of parties.
Friday I think I hate a hackerpimps for a bit, then rolled along over to some other skybox party... ended up at HHH party.
Saturday I hit the IO Active party for a bit... but all the IO Active guys I knew had crashed already... So I went over to the 303 party and eventually ended up at challenge for a bit before calling it a night.
Hell of a con.
I really only attended the defcon beer cooling, and the hacker jeopardy (my friends team almost won, got beat by another friends team buwahaha).
I had a ball. Was hoping to do more badge hacking just didn't have the time.
I didn't know there were any parties on Friday, shit. I was at IO for most of the evening Saturday, but went to the skyboxes after.
Did you try the cooled beer?
As for the badge I soldered on the miniusb connector and the 6 pins. We tried getting the badges to transfer files on sd cards with no luck. The tv power-off feature works though :) I haven't messed around with the IDE on the cd, as I don't have a cd drive.

We got it transferring once we were pulling debug info off the USB.
You needed to format the memory card in DOS command prompt.
And you needed to set the file for sending Read-Only.
We actually transferred a couple files during the con.
I also added USB for a couple of friends. A lot of folks destroyed their badges trying to add the USB connectors. It was something of a debacle. Also the hardware hacking village was a mess. I stayed in the wireless hacking village when possible.
The code on the badges was pretty ugly. I broke out the spi interface off the SD slot, I was going to hook it up to the jacket and quickly write some code for it... but getting the dev environment up and operational was a righteous pain in the ass. Would have been easy though. The jacket uses SPI between the atmega168 and the max6952.
