i think it's stupid. it's just a waste of time for the devs.
the waffles site and tracker are slow; sometimes the tracker refreshes the cache less than daily for things i need stats on. why can't they improve their essential features before making dumb toys?
and i'm not convinced that gazelle/ocelot are the answer:
(1) gpl variant--you won't see me contributing code to this project.
(2) it still lacks many features that other software has. for example, i want a list of what i'm seeding and how much i have uploaded per torrent, like on this page.

and yeah, shop is dumb, just a way to reward the crazy uploaders which i guess is okay, although nothing so far is really worth anything to power users who have gigantic buffers.
