who has prescription glasses? what for? where'd you get them?
I have glasses for nearsightedness. I bought the frames a long time ago from framesdirect.com (I think) because I couldn't find them anywhere else. the pair before that broke when I ran into someone on my bike :[. they're Brooks Brothers frames, weird. got the lenses done at Lenscrafters.
I've always wanted prescription sunglasses but haven't wanted to spend a lot of money on them because I don't care that much. someone told me about zennioptical.com so I finally found my prescription info tonight and ordered a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarer ripoffs in brown! I'm excited to get them. total price was about 23 USD after shipping.

i have some for nearsightedness. my dad's girlfriend is a frame sales-rep, so i got them from her for free.
i got nearsightedness. wear glasses about one weekend a month when i rest my eyes from continuous contact wear. got em from my eye doctor in billings
ooh, contacts. forgot about those. I had them for a little while but I used to have really bad swelling in my eyes from allergies during the Spring, so the contacts were bad news. they also weren't so great while playing baseball, so back to glasses I went. plus I'd probably look weird with contacts now.

mine glasses right now are plastic-framed, and I've kind of been wanting to go wire-framed for a while, for a little bit older or more classy look, rather than trendy or whatever. my only qualm is with the nose support things on most wire-framed glasses. I really kind of hate those and they tend to be uncomfortable for me. I feel like nothing can beat the comfort of my plastic frames.

I have plastic frames right now, I plan on keeping these ones for the work environment and having some badass tortoiseshell ones for when I'm not working (whenever that will be)

I need new glasses. :(
My left eye is nearsighted and my right is farsighted, so together they even each other out and I don't need glasses. I wore glasses as a small child all the way up until 7th grade, however. My eyes just kept getting better until I stopped needing to wear them.
I do have a fairly new pair of glasses for editing photos, though.

P.S. my eyes are weird (and I technically can't focus out of both of them at the same time) because I've had 3 eye surgeries.

I can switch back and forth between eyes quickly, so...it exists? Sort of.

i ordered my glasses today. quite a lot more expensive than i'd thought :o
i've had the same glasses for five years. the lenses are pretty scratched up. maybe i'll try to get freshies in the coming years.

I always seem to have a problem with breaking my glasses quite frequently and repairing them with super glue and vise grips. That reminds me, i need to get a new pair.
ALWAYS have wanted to get a pair custom made lenses for a pair of my dragon sunglasses.
and have tried contacts, but i can't fucking stand touching my eye ball.
anyone look into laser eye surgery?
