nothing is wrong - what are you scared of?
so i've been looking at all these neato websites that show how to make your own tilt/shift lens, and decided to give it a shot.
here are my materials..
-toilet plunger (the newer kind with the accordian shape)
-16mm f2.6 lens fixed aperture
-welder (i think its the same one lr used that one day for his honda emblem)
-cover of an encyclopaedia
-box cutter
-hobby knife
-nikon body cap
now i have not finished it yet.. it is upstairs drying for another 24 hours or so, and i forgot to take pictures of all of the steps of the creation.. oh well
anyways it looks ridiculous on my camera and i really hope it works out. Check back later for some pictures. (does html work here? or should i just use a link to the picture?)
if you want i can do a step by step later on, that is if it even works :D
anyone else try this ever?
no, but my photography teacher has a lens baby:

that's cool that you're doing the same thing custom style

wellll shit its not working.. i think i need to try a different lens. i thought i had the lens the correct distance from the ccd, but i guess not. everything is really blurry.
my goal was to imitate a lensbaby and not have to pay 200 bucks for it.. the plunger cost about 5 dollars and i can make one more out of the other part i didn't use. The concept is pretty simple, but i guess i need to rethink how to position the lens
