this frustrates me. it doesn't mean that i quit using skype or torrenting on their network. it just means that i use techniques to subvert their bans.
i use SOCKS for skype. it's pretty easy to do. my server has plentiful bandwidth and is low latency.
i should write some thoughtful letters on this subject to the it office and to the newspaper. encrypted socks traffic uses more bandwidth than unencrypted skype traffic. they are just relying on peoples' ignorance of proxy methods.
i need to inform the people and overthrow this regulation hassle!
