this thread is poised to be a concatenation of
red bull cola and mexican coca-cola discussion.
--
a week ago, i emailed costco's buying office, asking them to carry red bull cola.
today i emailed costco again, asking them to carry mexican coca-cola (item #179571) in bozeman, mt (costco #96).
i hope they do!
mixing gum arabic requires intense machinery.
see
cube-cola.

What happened to that Europe-based cola powder you told me about ages ago?
i prefer mexican coca-cola to red bull cola.
coca-cola has more caramel and vanilla taste, whereas red bull has a lot of cinnamon, lemon, and lime taste. the coca-cola is smoother and generally more pleasing. despite the intensity and bite of red bull cola, it's still a pretty good product.
i would rather drink red bull cola than coca-cola made with high-fructose corn syrup.

But it's natural, has no artificial ingredients and is fine in moderation. Get the facts, lucas. Watch this:

I love regular Coca-Cola! I like mexican coke, too, save for the metallic beginning. I do not like red bull cola.
But there was a time (several years in high school) when I actually preferred the taste of walmart's sam's choice cola over coke... :-o
you experienced a metallic beginning, too? to be sure, it is not the case that all of the bottles have some metal or rust on them.

It isn't? Why isn't it? They're all packaged and shipped the same way, I'm assuming...
I used to drink RC cola. Don't think I've had any kind of cola for years now.
> It isn't?
well, the one i just drank didn't have it. so not all of them have it.

i tried red bull cola today. wasn't bad.
the only place i can find it is at town pump convenience stores. thank god i live in butte and theres one on every corner!
i bought a twelve-pack of pepsi-cola throwback ($3.66 at target) today. it's probably the first time i've ever bought pepsi over coke by choice.
it tastes really clean and good. although, because it's pepsi, the flavoring is wuss.

I had that stuff. it was weird. tasted like rc cola or something. or too much like an "all natural" cola, which seem to always have a distinct flavor compared to coke or pepsi.
in the realm of cane cola, coke rules.
I really like pepsi.
lr, any news on item #179571?

regular pepsi rules in the summer. especially with hot dogs. coke rules at all times and especially with pizza.

i haven't checked costco, and they haven't told me that they're carrying it.
that is so awesome.
do you use carbonated water or what? i should order some.
i used club soda. i'm going to try some other waters, then maybe try to find something in bulk at costco.
you should try it! it's only 10GBP for the large kit plus 3GBP for air mail. seems reasonable to me!
Especially considering how crappy their currency is
the mus bookstore sells 12oz. bottles of cane coca-cola for $1.55, which is about as cheap as you can get them individually in bozeman, afaik.
i bought a case of mexican coke at the local coca-cola distributor. it wasn't as cheap as the price shown on
this webpage ($17.99)--it cost me $26.75.
i've heard that this distributor does volume discounts, though. costco really needs to step in here!
