i thought i brought this up before but a search begs to differ...
my favorite show is radiolab.

i had an old girlfriend that had NPR playing in her bedroom 24 hrs a day pretty much and one time a few years ago this show came on and i thought it was interesting but didn't listen to the whole thing. then on a trip down to austin it came on again and i thought it was awesome so i started listening to it regularly and getting the old episodes.
so rad. just an amazing show, with great topics and production.
sleep, memory, morality, choice, etc.
they are about an hour long (some are quick ones though) and they come out every two weeks or so. if you are interested i recommend listening to some of the older ones first to get a feel. i *really* recommend the _memory & forgetting_ episode if you just want to check one out.
i can promise you will NOT be disappointed. its one of those shows you hear about then you finally take the time to listen and wish you would have started earlier. its all free, you can get it on the site or just get it via podcast.
GO GET IT -- this probably should've gone in a different thread but i wasnt sure
edit: here is the mp3 for the _memory & forgetting_ episode i recommended.
good to just chill out and close your eyes and listen.

also, i recommend not being on your computer or anything. just slap on your headphones when you are getting in bed is the best way to listen i think.
I started listening to this on my commute recently. it's really good.
one of my favorites:
parasites
they talk about a potential trigger (and therapy) for crohn's disease. they also discuss how the spread of a parasite from cats may have been the sole cause of schizophrenia (and maybe other illnesses)
