Well, with student loans coming up I'm gonna take the hit and buy a new laptop. I want suggestions!
I'll be using the laptop for three things: surfing the net, writing papers, and video editing.
I'm not worried about hard drive space/speed so much because all raw footage, etc, will be stored on my external drive anyway.
I'm leaning towards a W-series ThinkPad ...

the w-series is fat. :/ i think the t-series is a good balance between power and portability, and i'd make that claim even if i weren't trying to sell my laptop. :)
