I want to go read a book now.

I like the hardcover
asemisldkfj
the law is no protection
I always hate it when they make a movie about the book and they put pictures of the movie of the cover.
For example my copy of I, robot has Will Smith on the cover and my copy of Solaris has George Clooney on the cover ...

Conversely, I like it when a favorite book is made into a movie and the movie's cover is the same as the book's. :D

i want to buy all of the waterstone's classics after seeing that picture; i might even read a couple of them
r1: lucas, were you able to find a retailer who sells these?
here is one. most of them are on amazon.

blah, they don't have crime and punishment or madame bovary. hopefully in the future

But what if the movie sucks or doesn't really have anything to do with the book?

That is ususally the case, unfortunately. It sucks to misrepresent the book with a terrible movie, but I still appreciate the director giving his nod to the writer.

they have several of the waterstone classics at the hastings in bozeman
jane eyre, wuthering heights, sense & sensibility, great expectations, and pride and prejudice
they're $20 each versus the $13.60 you can get them for on amazon

Are you a skyview kid, bsdlite?

I love this 1940s hard cover of leaves of grass i got at strands in NYC. largely because of the series of notes from people who read the book and loved it on the inside cover. Going to have to put it back in one day with my own entry.

I kid you not, the closing scene of the Edward Norton movie I just watched involved people holding hands over the cover of this book. Coincidence! :)
i admire this guy's approach:
https://www.the-tls.co.uk/articles/public/nor … r-library/
the words are what matter, not the paper they're printed on
> His copy of Priscilla Johnson McMillan’s Lee and Marina (1977), dismembered when he went

i like the look of worn books. they have to be worth reading to get their wear
