why the hell would intel put a parallel port on a motherboard but not a de9m serial port? serial ports are still useful sometimes (consoles, apc upses,
status lcds, and embedded stuffs, etc.) but who wants a parallel port?
no printer or scanner uses them anymore. they are slow as fuck and huge.
stupid
i need a de9m, not a db25f.
hmm.. a david brown 25-year-old female-version? i have those. :D .... D:
hey, nny, if i wanted a small lcd on a freebsd server to display load, memory usage, swap usage, and mirror status, what would you recommend? (i'm willing to solder.)
thermal receipt printers we use at work are all parallel :/. it sucks.
i had to read that post twice to understand how i got wrapped up in all of this...
i'm having bsd install issues in bmt tonight. i could use db-assist
just for the night? i'm out with tirza but after 1 or 2 tomorrow i can hang out.
Well, the parallel port is a handy place to put the sticker with s/n on.
i got my issues resolved. :D
cs: true. :)
