So I've had a lot of free time lately, only taking 1 class and working early mornings leaves a lot of down time. I decided to build a website with my free time, and after a couple early version that I hated I've finally got something up that I'm somewhat comfortable with

It's still quite bland and as you can see in my updates part I've got a list of improvements/additions I wish to implement here soon to give it a little more life.

But I would really like to get your guys' input on either the coding or visuals.

you should add some alt text to the images for folks who browse the web on the cli.

otherwise, it looks good from lynx. i'll post more when i can see it graphically.

i got my keyboard working with xorg (xorg is stupid about keyboards, even on ps/2). so now i'm in firefox without a mouse.

i'm unable to tab down to your links. kinda weird.

i dont have any hrefs associated with the links yet, so right now they are just text.

i mean, it's still pretty barebones, but thanks for the alt text tip. totally forgot about that. last night i spent most of my time replacing all symbols with their html code equivalent, which i must say was very exhausting for such a simple task.

I dig it. Pretty simple and straight forward. Seems like it could have a smoother design, but all in all nothing really grating about it.

i think it's a good project so don't let all these things disappoint :]

1. i don't like how the tab goes to a forum on a different site.
2. i don't like how there is white on the sides of the site, the way it's done it doesn't look like it fits too well with everything else.
3. the blog and file tabs are not working.
4. there isn't a way to contact you.
5. non-linked links (My Steam Profile, Think Tank forums,Sons of Bedlam, HLX:CE, Sourcebans, Sourcemod.)

heh well you wont like this dp, the files tab will eventually have a drop down menu with links to my other domain which hosts all custom files for the game servers.

all the links should work now, except the journal and chikencarnage forum link. though i will be putting place holders in so they should go somewhere here by the end of the day.

added a contact page with a form for people to send me emails, and i added a call me button so people can leave me a voicemail on my google voice number.

I've been trying to edit it to get rid of the header that is included and to use the header that the rest of my site uses aaaaaaaaaand not going so well. nothing i've done seems to allow it to either line up correctly or center properly.

the closest i came to getting it to work was adding a wrapper around the entire thing and putting the header html in that, but that caused the entire thing to align left (which i found odd) and the header was spaced left about 10px off of the body.

never mind, i've decided to take this opportunity to learn php. so i'm scratching that and i'm going to build my own php based blog/journal.

then after that i may try and tackle a php based photo gallery.
