I am not a robot...
I thought I read somewhere that everyone has cancerous cells in them, it just takes varying degrees of time for their cells to manifest in any diagnosable way.

i might have told you that. i believe that is correct.

many of the cells in the body have mutations from naturally-occurring uv, beta, and gamma ray sources, among others. the cells try to repair the mutations if possible. if uncorrectable mutations occur on particular proteins, the cell's reproduction will become uncontrolled, resulting in a tumor.

but i'm no biologist.
