i have salon on my google reader. so i shared it with a like.
It's not just the television news that sucks, case in point is the recent bombing attempts on the plane.
More then ever I've wanted to grab people though the TV/newspaper, stick their heads in a pile of dren, kick then in the mivonks, and call them a bunch of emptyheaded nitwits.
Just when you think all this terrorist fearmongering is over, and there is a US president with more than just shit for brains, all the same crap happens all over again and everyone goes fahrbot over the same nonsense all over again...
... And all that really happened was that a guy but his nuts on fire ...

I know that a good portion of most other media sucks too, but it's literally impossible to find anything worthwhile on tv. in print, on the web, on the radio, there is some stuff worth reading/hearing. tv, there is almost literally nothing of worth.

I will be blunt. How the hell did the TSA not have every reporter on earth questioning if their entire top brass has downs syndrome after they put those utterly wasteful restrictions in effect?
I mean if I was a reporter at a news briefing on that, my first question to the speaker would be "Excuse me sir, but are you retarded?" And yet inconceivably to me... no talking head is sitting there asking America if anyone anywhere can find some way to make this shit look even remotely sane.
So yes, I find our news media an appalling joke.
So does the rest of the world. When the bailout was voted on, The Register, a UK based IT news site actually pushed out an article basically saying... Our US correspondents are telling us the abject hatred of the bailout bill is unbelievable across all of america... and yet no news source in the US has said anything about it. Basically more people got involved in calling their elected representative to shout that bill down, than actually voted in the last election.
The public access switch board to congress was shut down for weeks.
And yet, there was no coverage at all.
It's horse crap.
