this thread is for uptime!

today i was considering how unusual it is for me to reboot my laptop. so i decided to check my uptime in windows 7:

ctrl+shift+esc -> performance -> system -> uptime

dd:hh:mm:ss
15:02:20:56

i rebooted on 1/3/2010 at 11:55:27 am to install an antivirus trial program. before then i'm not sure how long it has been. i usually just sleep my computer and resume it. i don't notice any decrease in performance and it's how i typically use my thinkpads.

if you're on a mac:
command+space, [type:]terminal, [enter], [type:]uptime

note: i found the date and time of reboot quickly using:
winflag+r, [type:]cmd, [type:]systeminfo | find "t T"

that is weird.
oh, in your second post doesn't "17:34:44" need to be removed?

I guess. that's just the current time, which I suppose is unnecessary since my post has a timestamp on it.

also I guess it's not that weird since when I open up terminal it creates another login session or whatever.

i ❤ demo
slicehost had some kind of emergency reboot recently:

lucas@www:~$ uname -mnrs
Linux www.wingedleopard.net 2.6.31-302-rs x86_64
lucas@www:~$ uptime
 01:13:05 up 2 days, 1:09, 2 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
lucas@www:~$

i performed a hardware upgrade last week:

atlas% uname -nrs
FreeBSD atlas.wingedleopard.net 8.0-RELEASE
atlas% uptime
 6:12PM up 9 days, 13:24, 1 user, load averages: 0.00, 0.01, 0.00
atlas%

toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I normally go 45 to 90 days between reboot on xp.
Couple server 2003 boxs at work that I don't reboot to see how long they can last currently at almost 700 days. Previous reboot caused by ups failure.
