I just decided I've had it with my job and that I will try for another one.
I've just redone my resume using the bitstream vera serif font ... It looks OK, but would like something really pretty that stands out ...
Anyone happen to have a suggestion before I search the interwebz?

I use the LaTeX version of
Palatino (package ``mathpazo''). See also
Adobe Palatino LT Std Roman (
store). I use mathpazo because it's the most well supported old-style serif font by LaTeX and it is free.
I'd also consider
Adobe Minion Pro Regular (
store). I love H&F-J
Mercury, but I cannot afford it.

notice that minion is a professional font, and it contains any glyph that you can imagine. you can do anything with it. and it's only $35!

i often use cutepdf which renders it in helvetica.
i know, it's heresy :(

helvetica is a nice face anyway
