I think this is a pretty sweet contest and if I weren't in the middle of grad school I would definitley enter to be a runner.

Just do what the unibomber / osama did. Move to a cave with no power in the middle of a heavily wooded mountainous region.

the point of this experiment was to discount the above case (and instead live a relatively normal, urban lifestyle)

that is even more fun. staying anonymous on the internet and stuff would be so neat and challenging. I wish I could do this.

It's not as hard as you'd think to generate a false id. The biggest issue is it's illegal. If I was given full immunity in producing false identification and establishing that person I'd get pretty freaking far.
