I bought a food bottle and the beverage bottle.

I hope to use them nearly daily to reduce my fast food meals and beverage purchases. It has been a pretty good run so far. I use my beverage one daily. I usually have my food bottle, but it's a little bulkier and sometimes I don't cook stuff in the morning.

Here's a thread where I posted about my thermos' before.

Why is a thermos great?
- it keeps meals you cooked, at any time during the day, hot for the whole day
- it stores your food, like a lunch box
- pretty easy to clean
- durable and rugged
- i'll use it camping, as well as daily
- there are only three replaceable parts for the beverage bottle (o-ring, cup, screw-cap)
- there are four replaceable parts for the food bottle (o-ring, cup, screw-cap, spoon)
- saves me money
- saves my health
- gets me cookin'

i bought a (now discontinued) 16 fl. oz. thermos from target in the summer of 2005 (link). i still have it and i still like it a lot.

many of the zojirushi thermal bottles are teflon coated, which some users express concern over. i do not think that the aforementioned mr. bento is teflon-coated, however.

you got the 26 fl. oz. nissan thermos 26 fl. oz. travel companion (link), correct, dp? i cannot find your food thermos on amazon.

i think i'd buy the 34 fl. oz. nissan thermos (link) and a 10-cup glass-handle chemex (link). then i could fill up the large thermos, and i'd have 16 fl. oz. of coffee remaining for a mug at home or my secondary, smaller (16 fl. oz.) thermos.

I got the smaller briefcase version 24 oz, it doesn't say anything about nissan, although before I bought it at the store I thought that was the one I wanted.

Amazon provides! I think it is this one. Here's the food bottle.

I bought groceries today with thermos action in mind :D (got tuna!) I was going to also mention that the zojirushi wouldn't really work for me. Too many parts to clean on a daily basis, and I don't cook that many varieties for every meal.
