now, canadian VCs are really, really backwater - all ex-bankers, with no appetite for risk or bleeding edge tech like american VCs. still, he said VCs are total sleazebags and he quit, he's now an investment banker.

Yeah I have been utterly underwhelmed by every vc i've ever met. And consequence of being in NY tech scene is dealing with them constantly. They are the otaku of tech.
