I still think 2000 was the greatest Windows ever... but might as well move to 7 now, it'll be the norm soon enough.

i installed windows xp home on computers for my mom and dad, thinking they didn't really need the professional version. then i tried configuring windows for them, and most of the mmc snap-ins wouldn't work. D:<

so i'm installing windows xp professional. dumb xp home.

windows xp k -- links to alternative IM programs
windows xp n -- omits windows media player
windows xp kn -- omits windows media player and windows messenger

i'm installing kn (english) for them (compliments of msdn). i wonder what it's like.

windows explorer. it fucks up all the time on me. i have some funny screenshots. but i don't have anything to show for the times it deleted items other than those that were selected.

it caught me with my pants down because i cleared my backup to do a fresh full backup.

but i just found out that windows has weird random backups. thank fucking god. \\localhost\C$\Users\lucas\Documents\buckets (‎Today, ‎January ‎02, ‎2011, ‏‎2 hours ago)
