I remember reading about some of the stuff the clinton administration was doing when I was in school. And I remember thinking, they are just breaking precedent after precedent. It's dangerous.
People said, they'd never do anything to piss off the general public so don't worry about it.
Then bush just said fuck all and used 9/11 to justify egregious abuses of power. The DHS was created. The TSA was created.
People said it would only last a little while until the hysteria died down.
Now we have dudes groping kids in the air port, and a general belief that if you do anything out of the "ordinary" you deserve to suffer the wrath of X random anti terrorism bullshit.
I hate to say it... but America needs to turn this shit around quick or else, leaving will suddenly be a pretty good solution for those of us that can. And that's where "brain drain" will come into play. That's where our economy gets fucked 10-20 years down the road.
