here is what i have:
lenovo thinkpad x200s (7465-cto)
12.1" wxga led-backlit lcd panel
intel core2 duo sl9400 (1.86 ghz, 6 mb l2, 1066 mhz fsb)
4gb pc3-8500 ddr3 sd-ram (2 dimm)
320 gb 5400 rpm hdd
atheros bgn wifi, bluetooth
9-cell battery
i took apart my lid a while ago to investigate what modifications will work in my laptop. as a result, here is what i want to upgrade:
lcd panel
i'm going to install a boe-hydis lcd panel. see
this thread on notebookreview.com. i'll probably get
this panel (hv121wx4) on ebay from a recommended seller, although i'm still looking at other panel options.
camera
i'm going to install a web camera, too. i'll probably buy the kit (fru 42w8015) from
this guy.
I want to get a X200 next year, when the new Intel and AMD CPU's hit the market, which "should" be quit a step forward in speed & power saving
... I'm just afraid there will only be a 16:9 version by then (As with the T410/T510).
I got a SSD for 70 euro: OCZ Onyx 32GB.
Works fairly well, good price/quality ratio IMHO.
i got the camera for $40 shipped from
wongchuham on ebay. it works nicely.
