anyone have anything interesting in november? there's no senate race in massachusetts and my rep in the house (capuano) is running uncontested, so nothing too exciting here. there is a gubernatorial election though. I think I'm voting for the green-rainbow candidate, jill stein, because I am so underwhelmed and bored with everyone else.
pretty sure it won't cost the democratic governor (patrick) the election, otherwise I might reconsider.
there are also a few ballot questions. one is to get rid of the sales tax on alcohol (the argument is that it already has an excise tax), two is some thing about public housing permits, and three is to lower the state sales tax by like more than 50%. I think I'm just going to vote no on all of them. don't really care about the extra tax on alcohol, no one has convinced me that anything is wrong with our current public housing laws, and cutting the sales tax in half is stupid.
