Okay.
I've been giving cursory glances to a variety of media players meant to hook up via HDMI (a requisite) to a television, and I figured that others will be, or currently are, interested in a thread about these.
I have a large collection of movies in a variety of formats and am looking for devices supporting them ... I've noticed MKV support is pretty sparse, and this looks to be my best bet (so far). Suggestions? Comments? Etc.

I began looking around again, and I'm liking Asus' entries.

I would just use my external USB2 drive, so Gigabit ethernet isn't a priority for me. But that is odd.
I have a popcorn hour. MKV support, FLAC, gigabit, etc.
