My adaptec ata 1200a however apparently stopped being supported in windows 7. And my latest mobo has no ide slots.

i have a 30 inch lcd. but that is just a 19 inch i use occasionally to free up desk space.

You need a better fan though. I got a Scythe Kabuto, which is a good fan.
