Uzebox is a pretty cool open-source 8-bit console I found a couple of days ago. I ordered the parts to make it (AVcore module, baseboard, 9V power supply, etc) and I'm pretty excited to start developing games for it. It's plain old C code, but it's still got a fun API to code in.
My friends got one of the red bull creation boards...
That apparently was uzebox based.

Pretty neat little boxes. My friend in SF is trying to start up a video game museum here. I recommended the uzebox as a possible platform for some promotional stuff. Might be cool to see an uzebox demoscene event.
