throw ideas for software around in this thread. I have two cooking right now:
- android app to facilitate inventory adjustments at work. take input from barcode scanner, prompt user for a quantity. create a csv file formatted for importation into our inventory system and give the option to share it via email or save it to the sd card.
this might be fun mostly to teach me about creating an android app. I just took a java course (albeit a pretty easy one) so that helps.
zxing (the people who release Barcode Scanner) has some apache 2.0-licensed barcode reading stuff that I can probably use, and the rest (file input/output, a simple gui) should be pretty easy.

There's youtube_dl, which works better than Clive IMHO. It's also in Python.
