To all the peeps on the East Coast ... You guys ok?

toronto survived, but didn't really get hit either.

my family seems to be okay from all reports I've gotten. phones are still spotty though.

forgot to check in. this storm was nothing in boston. a tree fell across my street but I didn't even lose power. and I had to spend vacation time at work to make up for lost hours on monday.

nyc looks pretty fucked. my friend in brooklyn sent me pictures of some pretty serious tree/car damage in his neighborhood, never mind the state of parts of lower manhattan.

some friends of mine live in chelsea (ny), their building was flooded but their apartment is fine. yikes. he showed me some pictures of the storm surge, people walking around with water almost at their knees...

Sounds like your average thunderstorm in Houston...
